I’m Just Me

I’ve always been passionate about stories in every form- novels, gaming, TV and movies, life. Stories connect us and make us feel less alone. They can be lifelines during those “dark nights of the soul”. I’ve also always been very much an Irregular, despite trying (too hard at times) to fit in. I hate being stereotyped and put in a box, but at the same time I long for the belonging I assume the box provides. I get a taste of that with other misfits- ’cause there is no box and that’s perfectly acceptable.

After years of unfinished stories and wondering why my brain worked differently, I was diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, etc. Navigating the diagnosis has been interesting, but it’s answered a lot of questions about myself. And it’s helped me focus long enough to make writing goals and stick to them. When I decided to create a blog to share progress with my fiction and a blog to share, connect, and encourage others who identify as misfits, Lori Watson: Stories seemed like a perfect way to combine the two. Stick around and say hi, I’d love to hear from you.

WEIRD

WRITER

I’m a weird writer encouraging other misfits to connect, encourage, and learn from each other’s stories- real or fiction. Embrace the Weird. (But not literally. Unless you receive consent. In which case, embrace away.)

A broken & bruised idealist who won’t stay down for long.
Owner of an anxious ADHD brain who cares like Harry Potter.
Lover of the strange, the awkward, the weird.
Way too honest.
That’s just me.
